L.A. TACO

Aisha is a multimedia reporter specializing in audio, covering Southern California. She recently graduated from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. Her reporting has taken her from protests in the streets of LA to corrido concerts, and beyond.

Memo Torres is the Director of Engagement and multimedia journalist for the James Beard award-winning L.A. Taco. He is also the host of the Daily Memo and writes for Apple Maps’ ‘Where Memo Torres Eats in L.A.’ You can see him on Netflix’s Taco Chronicles and Pressure Cooker.  You can hear him on KCRW’s ‘Good Food’ occasionally. He was a finalist for the Ruben Salazar Award for Latino journalists and a former third-generation landscaper.

L.A. TACO has launched its 2025 Membership Drive, aiming to double its membership to 10,000.

Achieving this goal will allow the organization to invest further in its local Los Angeles coverage and secure its future as an independent news source. L.A. TACO is asking current members to help promote the drive by sharing the membership link and posting about it on social media.
